    Role Overview
    Design, prototype, and deliver the electromechanical systems that let our Neo move, grasp, and last. From junior to staff, own subsystems end-to-end: concept → detail design → test → iterate →volume production.

    Job requirements

    • Design mechanical parts and electromechanical subsystems (frames, limbs, joints, power transmission systems, etc) 

    • Perform structural FEA to reach optimum stiffness to weight ratio and achieve our fatigue life criteria

    • Select and integrate motors, sensors, PCBAs, cabling…

    • DFx: manufacturability, assembly, cost, serviceability

    • Build and break prototypes, iterate quickly

    Must-Have 

    • BS/MS Mechanical Engineering 

    • CAD software fluency

    • Strong fundamentals of structural mechanics

    • Hands-on prototyping skills

    • Structural FEA and G&T experience

    • Extensive bearing selection experience

    Nice-to-Have 

    • Robotics or consumer hardware volume production 

    • Ansys, injection molding, die casting, machining
