We are at the forefront of developing advanced humanoid robots designed for household use. Our mission is to create an abundant supply of labor via safe, intelligent humanoids. As we transition from R&D to full-scale manufacturing, we seek an experienced Team Lead, Robot Chassis and Transmission. We are currently seeking a highly skilled and motivated Team Lead, Robot Chassis and Transmission to join our team. In this role, you will lead the team that develops NEO’s structure, transmission and power management system (i.e. all hardware excluding the motors and hands). This person will be responsible for ensuring the quality of designs, documentation for production and service, meeting the performance and durability targets, etc. The role also involves working as an individual contributor as well, taking on design work and helping out during integration and debugging activities.

Responsibilities:
- Directing design for manufacturing, structural design, joint design, transmission design, and electro-mechanical integration activities
- Developing design guidelines and overseeing their implementation
- Ensuring that product requirements are implemented into subsystem designs by controlling the design review process
- Protecting product integrity by establishing communication between different teams
- Managing the high-level CAD activities of the product
- Analysing and generating high-level system improvements
Job requirements
Must-Haves:
- Experience leading a small team dedicated to developing complex products from concept to production
- Extensive experience in design for machining
- Understanding of GD&T
- Knowledge of bearing selection
- Strong structural design practice focused on weight/stiffness optimizations
- Familiarity with electro-mechanical component integration such as encoders, cablings, auxiliary electronic units
- Having organized and clear communication verbally and written form
Nice-to-Haves:
- Experince in design for casting
- Hands-on practice on cabling design
- Participation in PDM management
