The Role
As a DevOps Engineer on the Software Engineering team, you will own and operate the infrastructure and tooling that enables fast, reliable development and deployment of software to our autonomous robots. You’ll drive improvements to our CI/CD pipelines, manage cloud infrastructure, and automate the release process from development through production. Your work will directly impact developer velocity, platform stability, and the speed at which our robots learn and improve.
You Will
Build and harden GitLab CI/CD pipelines used across all software teams
Manage and scale cloud infrastructure on AWS, GCP, or Azure using Terraform
Own and automate the release process from development to production with zero downtime
Implement testing, monitoring, and alerting systems to ensure platform reliability
Participate in on-call rotation during Pacific Time hours
Continuously reduce cycle time from code commit to deployment on robot hardware
Job requirements
Must Have
3–5 years of experience in DevOps or platform engineering roles
Expertise with GitLab CI/CD and pipeline automation
Proficiency in Terraform and cloud services (AWS, GCP, or Azure)
Experience with Docker and Kubernetes
Strong scripting skills in Python and Bash
Familiarity with monitoring and logging stacks such as Prometheus, Grafana, and ELK
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience
Benefits & Compensation
Salary Range: $140,000 – $220,000 + Equity
