Job description
We are at the cutting edge of developing advanced humanoid robots designed for household use, with a mission to create an abundant supply of labor through safe, intelligent automation. As we transition from research and development to full-scale manufacturing, we are seeking skilled and motivated Service Technicians to join our team. Your work will directly contribute to ensuring our robots perform reliably in customers' homes as well as for internal purposes.
The Robot Service Technician will be responsible for maintaining and repairing our humanoid robots, ensuring they operate at peak performance. You will be the frontline of our service operations, performing on-site repairs, conducting routine maintenance, and providing exceptional customer service. This role requires a hands-on approach, technical expertise, and a commitment to delivering high-quality work that keeps our customers satisfied.
Responsibilities:
Perform diagnostics and repairs of robots, addressing mechanical, electrical, and software issues to minimize downtime and ensure optimal performance, both at customers homes as well as at our workshop.
Conduct regular maintenance on robots, following established protocols to ensure longevity and reliability.
Communicate effectively with customers, explaining repair and maintenance procedures, and ensuring they understand the condition and performance of their robots.
Ensure all tools and equipment is used according to its specification and in a safe manner; keeping them well-maintained, and ready for use during service calls.
Accurately document all service activities, including repairs, maintenance, and any parts used, ensuring clear and detailed records for future reference.
Provide support to customers over the phone or via remote sessions, troubleshooting issues and providing guidance on basic repairs and maintenance.
Work closely with the Parts Advisor to ensure you have all necessary parts and tools for each service call and collaborate with the Service Engineer and other team members to address complex technical issues.
Participate in training and development opportunities to stay current with new technologies and service techniques.
Job requirements
Knowledge and experience with electrical and electronic systems
Knowledge and experience in mechanical assemblies
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose and fix technical issues.
Proficiency in using diagnostic tools, repair equipment, and standard software applications.
Highly organized, with the ability to manage time effectively and prioritize tasks during service calls.
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
A valid driving license and the ability to travel to customer locations for on-site service.
Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and service methods.
Excellent customer service skills, with the ability to explain technical information clearly and patiently.
Ability to work night shifts (11pm - 7am)
