Role Overview
As a Robot Service Technician at 1X, you will be part of the frontline service operations, helping to maintain, repair, and ensure the high performance of our humanoid robots. You’ll perform on‑site and workshop work, interact directly with customers, and help ensure our robots are operating safely, reliably, and with minimal down time.
Responsibilities
Perform diagnostics and repairs of robots, addressing mechanical, electrical, and software issues both at customers’ homes and in our workshop
Conduct regular maintenance on robots according to established protocols for longevity and reliability
Communicate with customers clearly about repair and maintenance procedures, conditions, and performance of their robots
Ensure tools and equipment are used safely, maintained, and prepared for service calls
Accurately document all service activities, repairs, maintenance, and parts used for future reference
Provide remote guidance or support to customers via phone or virtual sessions for basic repairs and troubleshooting
Coordinate with Parts Advisor to ensure necessary parts and tools are available for each service call
Collaborate with Service Engineers and other team members to address complex technical issues
Participate in ongoing training and development to stay current with new technologies and service methods
Job requirements
Knowledge and experience with electrical and electronic systems
Knowledge and experience in mechanical assemblies
Strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills with ability to diagnose and fix technical issues
Proficiency in diagnostic tools, repair equipment, and standard software applications
Highly organized; able to manage time effectively and prioritize tasks during service calls
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Valid driving license; ability to travel to customer locations for on‑site service
Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and service methods
Excellent customer service skills; able to explain technical information clearly and patiently
Ability to work night shifts (11pm‑7am)
