Role Overview
As a Senior Robot Service Technician at 1X, you will play a critical role in ensuring the reliability and performance of our humanoid robots. You’ll focus primarily on advanced diagnostics, complex repairs, and remanufacturing of key robot assemblies. You will partner with the engineering and service teams to refine serviceability and improve repair processes.

Responsibilities

  • Perform diagnostics and repairs of robots, addressing mechanical, electrical, and software issues

  • Execute remanufacturing and refurbishment of robotic assemblies

  • Collaborate with the service engineering team to identify recurring issues and recommend design improvements

  • Document all service activities, complex repairs, parts usage, remanufacturing procedures

  • Contribute to creating and refining service documentation, repair manuals, and troubleshooting guides.

  • Maintain tools and equipment in the workshop, ensuring they are calibrated, well‑maintained, and ready for advanced repair tasks.

Job requirements

  • Extensive hands-on experience in mechanical, electrical, or electronic repair

  • Ability to read PCB and harness schematics

  • Familiarity with electrical hardware based diagnostic tools such as Scope, Digital MultiMeter, Current Probes, etc.

  • Proficiency with diagnostic tools, repair equipment, and software

  • Ability to manage time effectively, prioritize tasks, and work independently

  • Maniacal about performing high quality work

  • Valid driving license

  • Willingness to work shifts

  • “All-in” mindset and attitude to support the company’s mission
