Role Overview
As Senior Manager of Production, you will lead the teams responsible for building some of the most advanced humanoid robots in the world. You will drive operational excellence across quality, safety, and efficiency, while guiding the scaling of production to support rapid growth. Your leadership will ensure alignment between engineering and manufacturing, enabling smooth transitions from design to large-scale production.
Responsibilities
Lead and manage production teams of 100+ staff per shift
Partner with engineering teams to align product development with manufacturability and production goals
Drive continuous improvement and lean manufacturing initiatives to optimize efficiency across the shop floor
Collaborate with supply chain, quality assurance, and automation engineering to ensure production scalability and resilience
Establish, monitor, and drive KPIs across yield, throughput, OEE, first-pass quality, and cost per unit
Lead production capacity planning and organizational development to support growth at scale
Promote and enforce a safe working environment with adherence to safety regulations and practices
Ensure high-rate production by meeting demanding schedules while adapting to shifting priorities in a fast-paced environment
Encourage creative problem-solving while ensuring compliance with safety, documentation, and quality standards
Implement and maintain machine upkeep schedules and spare parts availability to maximize uptime and output performance
Oversee weekend production operations by coordinating coverage strategies and providing escalation support in a 24/7 environment
Job requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Aerospace, Electrical, or Manufacturing Engineering
7+ years of management experience in a precision manufacturing environment (e.g., MedTech, microelectronics, avionics, or micro-assembly consumer electronics)
Experience scaling large teams from production ramp-up through mature operations
Strong technical understanding of manufacturing processes, systems integration, and hardware requirements
Proven ability in budget planning and cost management to balance quality, output, and efficiencyHands-on experience applying lean manufacturing principles and efficiency methods

Salary Range: $140,000 – $230,000
