Senior Manager, ERP & Enterprise Applications, Operations

    Job description

    About 1X

We build humanoid robots that work alongside people to solve labor shortages and create abundance.

    The Role

We are building the transactional backbone of the factory: a unified ERP and enterprise applications layer that powers supply chain, manufacturing operations, quality, service, and finance. As the Senior Manager of ERP & Enterprise Applications, you will lead the design, development, and delivery of all ERP/1X applications built on top of the ERP stack. This hands-on technical leadership role requires deep ERP architecture expertise, engineering rigor, clarity of requirements and drive prioritization across a rapidly growing operations organization. You’ll build a high-performing engineering team and deliver high-impact systems on an aggressive, sprint-based cadence. This role will be pivotal in shaping the digital infrastructure that supports the future of humanoid robotics manufacturing, reliability, and supply chain, while enabling scalable, integrated production systems that bring our robots to life.

    You Will

    • Own the full ERP/1X applications layer, including architecture, development, extensibility, data models, workflows, and integrations across supply chain, manufacturing, quality, finance, service, and inventory, etc.

    • Build a prioritized sprint-based application development roadmap on top of the ERP stack by assessing backlogs and collaborating with process owners

    • Establish and lead a high-performing ERP/1X software engineering team, setting high standards for engineering and delivery

    • Design and deliver new ERP applications on two-week sprints, with production deployments beginning within the first month

    • Implement high-impact capabilities such as change management, asset management, CAPEX management, traceability, serialization, supply chain visibility, inventory accuracy, production transactions, fleet/serial management, and workflow automation

    • Enforce disciplined sprint execution, continuous integration, and rapid deployment practices

    • Serve as the technical leader for architecture reviews, debugging, code quality, and production support

    • Collaborate closely with operations, supply chain, quality, manufacturing engineering, and finance teams to translate requirements into deliverables

    • Establish streamlined processes for planning, QA, deployment, and tooling to support a scalable ERP platform

    • Create architectural clarity across ERP and adjacent systems, resolving fragmentation and building a unified model

    Job requirements

    Must Have

    • Strong technical depth in ERP architecture, software engineering and enterprise application development

    • Hands-on experience with Odoo or highly comparable ERP frameworks

    • Proficiency in Python, XML, PostgreSQL, Java/JScript, HTML-CSS and modern web technologies used for ERP extensions and front-end apps

    • Ability to translate requirements into structured sprints and lead delivery pipelines

    • Expertise in data modeling, workflow engines, API design, and distributed systems

    • Proven ability to thrive in fast-paced, high-ambiguity environments

    • Demonstrated success in hiring, leading, and developing high-performing engineering teams

    • Hands-on approach with strong debugging and production support skills

    Benefits & Compensation

    • Salary Range: $200,000 – $290,000 + Equity

    • Health, dental, and vision insurance

    • 401(k) with company match

    • Paid time off and holidays
