We are at the forefront of developing advanced humanoid robots designed for household use. Our mission is to create an abundant supply of labor via safe, intelligent humanoids. As we transition from R&D to full-scale manufacturing, we seek an experienced Senior Electronics Engineer, Robot Design.

Responsibilities
  • Work on electronic sub-system designs, integrations, cable harnesses, PCB layouts, and frequently contribute hands-on in the lab building and debugging electronic systems, ranging from small test systems to fully integrated robots in the field
  • Develop concept, design, build, and troubleshoot of compact and reliable electronic systems
  • Diagnostics and design revisions of complex mobile robots and manipulation systems
  • Power distribution, battery implementation and motor systems

Job requirements

Must-Haves

  • Bachelors in Electrical Engineering or Robotics, or higher education
  • Good knowledge of electromechanical systems
  • Proven good skills using industry-standard EDA design tools (e.g. Altium Designer, electronics simulators)
  • Electronic component selection and validation
  • Ability to collaborate and communicate very well with other disciplines and teams, such as controls, production, and mechanical

Nice-To-Haves

  • Experience in Power Electronics
  • Industrial experience in the robotics, automotive or related domains
  • Experience with sensor selection and integration (proximity, LIDAR, cameras etc)
  • Knowledge of communications architectures including ethernet, EtherCAT, BiSS, RS485/422, LVDS, SPI
  • Experience with DFM
  • Industrial safety system design, FMEA Standards, and/or certification authority experience (UL, CSA, CE, FCC, ESA and NEC)

The facility is designed to be state-of-the-art, with a variety of 3D printers, an electronics lab, and controls test studio. 1XHQ offers food, showers, and outdoor activities.
