We are seeking a skilled Robotics/Remanufacturing Technician to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and remanufacturing key robot assemblies, while ensuring optimal performance and reliability. You will also spend time assembling and developing documentation for prototype builds as needed. You will work with complex mechanical and electrical systems, applying critical thinking and technical expertise to troubleshoot known and emerging issues. As a key contributor, you will collaborate closely with our manufacturing, engineering, and service teams to enhance processes, improve reliability, and refine design for better serviceability. Your role will also include maintaining detailed records of repairs, contributing to documentation, and ensuring workshop tools are well-maintained.

Key RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Diagnose and repair advanced electromechanical issues in robotic assemblies.

  • Execute remanufacturing and refurbishment of robotic components to restore full functionality.

  • Perform escalation repairs, supporting the engineering team with complex troubleshooting.

  • Prototype assembly.

  • Provide feedback to manufacturing and service teams to enhance design and reliability.

  • Maintain accurate records of repairs, parts usage, and remanufacturing procedures.

  • Develop and refine technical documentation, repair manuals, and troubleshooting guides.

  • Ensure tools and equipment are well-maintained, calibrated, and ready for use.

Job requirements

Required Qualifications:

  • Extensive hands-on experience in mechanical and electrical repair, preferably in robotics or automation.

  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills in diagnosing complex technical issues.

  • Proficiency in using diagnostic tools, repair equipment, and software applications for advanced repairs.

  • Ability to read and interpret manufacturing instructions, electrical schematics, and mechanical drawings.

  • Excellent time management and ability to work independently on advanced repair tasks.

  • Strong communication skills to explain technical concepts to stakeholders.

  • Requires lifting heavy components, standing for long hours, or working in workshops.

  • Soldering experience

Preferred Qualifications (Nice to Have):

Experience with PCBA debugging and repair.

Familiarity with semi-automated manufacturing equipment.

Experience writing assembly instructions

Experience with Odoo and Jira is a plus

Knowledge of reliability testing and predictive maintenance methodologies.

Familiarity with CAD software and work instructions for assembly repairs or modifications.

    • Hiring manager / senior team member / technical interview

  • Team interviews - technical interviews and deep-dives with team members. May include a take home challenge, presentation or problem-solving exercise

    • Technical deep-dive conversation with a team member 

    • Onsite interviews with team members 

  • Final stages - you move to the final round

    • Expectation management with the hiring manager 

    • We will conduct reference checks

    • Job offer conversation
