Role Summary
We are seeking an experienced Quality Technician Supervisor to lead and scale our Quality Technician and Inspector organization. This role is responsible for ensuring strong quality execution on the production floor by managing inspection and quality support activities, driving containment and root cause investigation, and developing a high-performing technician team. You will act as a key escalation point for production quality issues while fostering a strong culture of quality across the manufacturing organization.
Key Responsibilities
Manage a team of Quality Engineering Technicians and Inspectors supporting key quality stations and work products across production.
Develop, mentor, and grow the Quality Technician organization to support increasing production needs.
Lead the team through containment activities, root cause investigations, quality inspections, and audit activities.
Act as the escalation and decision point for quality issues impacting production flow.
Lead headcount planning, hiring, and onboarding for the Quality Technician organization.
Manage daily priorities and assign work across technicians and inspectors.
Lead regular team meetings to review priorities, quality issues, and improvement opportunities.
Report status of quality technician activities, accomplishments, and blockers to leadership.
Partner cross-functionally with engineering, manufacturing, supplier quality, and program teams to resolve quality issues.
Drive a strong culture of quality, accountability, and continuous improvement on the production line.
Job requirements
10+ years of experience in a Quality role within a production or manufacturing environment.
Experience managing technicians, inspectors, or other production support personnel.
Strong ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and manufacturing requirements.
Experience leading containment activities for production quality issues.
Experience leading root cause investigations using structured problem-solving methods such as A3, 8D, Fishbone, and 5 Why.
Strong cross-functional collaboration skills.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to prioritize work and lead teams in a dynamic production environment.
Compensation & Benefits
Pay: $90,000–$140,000 + Equity
