As we scale from research and development to full-scale manufacturing, we are looking for a Payroll Manager to help shape our financial strategy and contribute to our continued growth. In this role, you will play a pivotal role in our journey towards transforming the world through innovation.

Responsibilities

  • Payroll from A to Å: Ensure correct pay to employees and carry out all necessary reports

  • Reporting and reconciliations: Handle reporting to public authorities, including a-melding, taxes and other relevant requirements

  • Sick leave and reimbursements: Follow up sick leave and ensure correct handling of reimbursements from NAV

  • Pension and benefits: Maintenance and reporting of the company’s pension scheme and benefits

  • Advice and support: Provide training, advice and support to employees and managers in payroll matters

  • Travel expenses and reimbursements

  • System development: Participate actively in further development and streamlining of systems and routines within payroll and personell administration

  • Maintain and update employee records, including employment contracts, salary adjustments and leave balances

  • Assist in onboarding and offboarding

Job requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Administration , HR or a related field

  • 3-5 years proven experience as a Payroll Manager or similar role in Norway

  • High level of competence in the payroll area

  • Experience with modern payroll systems and automation of work processes

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization

  • Thrive in a fast-paced environment

  • Fluent in English language, verbal and written

Typical interview process 

  • Introductions - interviews to learn more about you and talk about 1X and the role

    • Interview with a member of the Talent Acquisition team

    • Hiring manager / senior team member / technical interview

  • Team interviews - technical interviews and deep-dives with team members. May include a take home challenge, presentation, or problem-solving exercise

    • Technical deep-dive conversation with a team member 

    • Onsite interviews with team members 

  • Final stages - you move to the final round

    • Expectation management with the hiring manager 

    • We will conduct reference checks

    • Job offer conversation 

Depending on the role and your background, additional interviews may be added.
