Position Overview: The Network Security Engineer will architect, design, implement, optimize, secure, and troubleshoot the comprehensive networking environment for all 1X networks. This includes responsibility for networks at corporate offices, cloud assets, facilities, co-located data-centers, and other 1X owned or operated sites, including local networks, interconnections, wired, wireless, and service provider connections. The role also encompasses site builds and secure office network deployments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Architect, design, and implement secure and optimized network solutions for various 1X locations including cloud infrastructure, data centers, offices, and facilities.

  • Manage and execute site builds including secure office network deployments.

  • Secure, configure, implement, and manage wireless network environments ensuring best practices in wireless network security.

  • Troubleshoot network issues across wired, wireless, and service provider interconnectivity to ensure maximum network availability and performance.

  • Continuously optimize networks for performance, scalability, reliability, and security.

  • Collaborate with IT and business teams to define requirements and deliver robust networking solutions.

  • Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation including network diagrams, configurations, procedures, and policies.

  • Occasional travel both local and domestic.

Job requirements

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field, or equivalent experience.

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in network architecture, design, security, and troubleshooting.

  • Demonstrated proficiency in wireless network security, configuration, implementation, and design.

  • Strong expertise in secure design concepts such as IPSEC, TLS, IGP and EGP routing protocols, and networking optimization.

  • Experience designing and managing secure network architectures across hybrid environments (cloud and on-premises).

  • Familiarity with industry-standard technologies and design principles in networking and security.

  • Professional certifications such as CISSP, CCNP Security, CCIE, or equivalent certifications are highly preferred.

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with an ability to diagnose and resolve complex network security issues.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively collaborate across teams.

  • Experience and knowledge of RADIUS Configuration and Deployment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with SD-WAN, Zero Trust architecture, and modern cloud security practices.

  • Hands-on experience with public cloud networking (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).

  • Ability to automate and script network tasks using Python, Ansible, or other automation tools.
