Job description
Since its founding in 2015, 1X has been at the forefront of developing advanced humanoid robots designed for household use. Our mission is to create an abundant supply of labor via safe, intelligent humanoids.
We strive for excellence in all we do, solving some of the hardest problems in robotics with the world’s most talented individuals. Every part of our robots is designed and produced in-house—from motor coils to AI—reflecting our vertically integrated approach. At 1X, you’ll own real projects, be recognized for your achievements, and rewarded based on merit.
At 1X, we believe robots are for everyone. That’s why we put care into every detail—how a robot looks, feels, moves, and interacts with the world. Bringing that vision to life requires people who build fast, test often, and prototype effectively along the way.
We're looking for a Lead CAD Modeler to join our industrial design team and help define our products at every stage—from early design visions to detailed prototypes and final designs. This is a hands-on role for someone who loves bringing designs to reality. You’ll work alongside creatives, industrial designers and engineers.

Manage data deliverables for visualizations and lead communication with visu team
Facilitate data transfer from engineering to design and vice versa
Create digital design models in accordance with design input and engineering requirements
Support iterative implementation process between design and engineering (inhouse and external suppliers)
Own design data management (structuring, archiving etc.)
Job requirements
4+ years of experience in CAD modeling for physical products from concept to final designs
Comfortable with a workflow that starts with Poly (Blender, Maya, SubD) and transitions to Nurbs (Icem, Alias Autodesk) software.
Deep knowledge to handle complex and intricate surfacing and larger assemblies
Experience with parametric modeling (mainly for pattern generation and topology optimization)
Familiarity with manufacturing processes like injection molding, die casting, and sheet metal stamping
Sharp eye for form, proportion and detailing
Clear communicator and effective team player
