Job description
Since its founding in 2015, 1X has been at the forefront of developing advanced humanoid robots designed for household use. Our mission is to create an abundant supply of labor via safe, intelligent humanoids.
We strive for excellence in all we do, solving some of the hardest problems in robotics with the world’s most talented individuals. Every part of our robots is designed and produced in-house—from motor coils to AI—reflecting our vertically integrated approach. At 1X, you’ll own real projects, be recognized for your achievements, and rewarded based on merit.
We are seeking a Final Assembly & Packout Technician to join our production team. In this role, you will perform the final mechanical and electrical integration steps on our humanoid robots, verify system readiness, and prepare them for shipment to customers. Your work ensures every unit leaves our facility fully functional, visually perfect, and securely packaged.
What You’ll Do
Perform final mechanical and electrical assembly steps on completed robot systems.
Install covers, panels, labels, and other finishing hardware.
Verify functional operation of key systems before shipment, following final QC checklists.
Perform cosmetic inspections to ensure units meet appearance standards.
Clean and prepare units for packaging, applying protective wraps and padding as needed.
Build and line crates or shipping containers to protect robots in transit.
Apply shipping labels, documentation, and required compliance markings.
Follow safety, ESD, and cleanliness procedures throughout the process.
Maintain organized workstations and packing areas.
Collaborate with quality and logistics teams to ensure on-time, damage-free shipments.
