Job description
Since its founding in 2015, 1X has been at the forefront of developing advanced humanoid robots designed for household use. Our mission is to create an abundant supply of labor via safe, intelligent humanoids.

Prototype and refine high-performance electronics with direct impact on product reliability
Push the boundaries of robotic power systems as we scale from R&D to full manufacturing
Responsibilities
Own the design of battery or power distribution subsystems, including component selection, schematic design, and PCB layout
Bring up and validate custom PCBAs for battery and charger systems
Develop and execute test plans to verify requirements, derisk design changes, and ensure long-term reliability
Design wiring harnesses and cables, including connector selection, wire specifications, and documentation
Job requirements
Requirements
Bachelor’s or higher degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
Hands-on experience with PCB design and bring-up
Strong understanding of power electronics, batteries, or power distribution systems
Experience designing wiring harnesses and cables for electromechanical systems
Track record of building, testing, and iterating on custom hardware
