Role Overview

The Driver is responsible for material handling and transportation duties to support internal and external customers. You’ll be critical to production sustainment, R&D support, and other operations requiring movement of materials between 1X sites, vendors, and customers.

Responsibilities

• Load, unload, and transport materials between 1X locations and external sites

• Complete vehicle inspection checklists and pre‑/post‑trip inspection forms

• Maintain schedule adherence for pickups, deliveries, and ad hoc movements

• Monitor vehicle condition (fuel, maintenance), and report issues

• Comply with internal driving policies and local, state, federal regulations

• Execute transactions in ERP systems as needed

• Adhere to materials management processes (FIFO, 5S, safety)

• Operate powered material handling equipment (forklifts, electric pallet jacks)

• Communicate material movement status and coordinate with stakeholders

• Provide support to warehouse operations (receiving, put-away, replenishment)

• High school diploma or equivalent

• Valid driver’s license and ability to pass annual Motor Vehicle Record check

• 3–5 years of experience in driving, material handling, or warehouse operations preferred

• Certification or experience operating powered material handling equipment preferred

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, perform physical labor, walk, and perform repetitive tasks

• Strong verbal and written communication skills

• Experience with computer systems (Office suite, Google Suite, ERP) preferred

• Proficiency in GPS/navigation

• Familiarity with DOT regulations is a plus

• Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) is a plus
