Data QA Specialist

    The Role:

    As a Data QA Specialist, you’ll be responsible for reviewing and improving data collected by 1X’s robots and operators. You’ll evaluate data using internal tools to ensure they meet quality and completeness standards, identify issues, and correct or refine data when possible. This is a focused, detail-oriented role with a direct impact on robot training and performance. You’ll spend most of your time reviewing data, flagging issues, documenting findings, and collaborating with QA, AI, and operations teams to maintain high data quality at scale.

    Responsibilities

    • Review robot and operator collected data to ensure it meets internal quality and completeness standards

    • Identify, trim, fix, or refine low-quality or incomplete data where possible

    • Clearly document reasons for rejected or low-quality data and provide actionable feedback

    • Flag unclear, inconsistent, or edge-case data for review with QA or AI teams

    • Maintain high accuracy and consistency while meeting daily and weekly review targets

    • Track recurring data issues or patterns to help identify gaps in data collection

    • Identify and report tooling bugs, and suggest improvements to QA workflows

    • Collaborate with operations and QA leadership to ensure data standards are understood and followed

    Job requirements

    Requirements

    • Strong attention to detail and ability to identify subtle errors or inconsistencies in visual or sequential data

    • Experience in data review, data labeling, QA, robotics, or a technical operations environment

    • Ability to stay focused and accurate while performing repetitive review tasks

    • Comfortable using internal tools, dashboards, and software systems to review high volumes of data

    • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English

    • Proactive mindset with a sense of ownership over data quality and follow-through on open issues

    • Ability to adapt in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple priorities

    • Familiarity with QA, documentation, or issue-tracking tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence)
