Target start date: immediately. On-site position.
Since its founding in 2015, 1X has been at the forefront of developing advanced humanoid robots designed for household use. Our mission is to create an abundant supply of labor via safe, intelligent humanoids. At 1X, you’ll own critical roles and have agency to innovate and improve in any and all talent processes and be rewarded based on merit and achievement.
As we scale from research and development to full-scale manufacturing, we are looking for a B2B Commercial Lead to drive our early customer engagements and lay the groundwork for scaled deployments. In this role, you will be responsible for identifying, structuring, and executing commercial partnerships, from early pilots through to rollout, working closely with technical and product teams to deliver value to our customers.
Responsibilities
Identify, structure, and manage early B2B pilot programs with commercial partners
Lead all stages of the sales cycle, including prospecting, value proposition development, proposals, and deal closure
Engage deeply with customers to understand their use cases and translate that into internal feedback for product and engineering teams
Serve as the primary commercial point of contact for customers, capable of explaining the technical capabilities and roadmap of our product
Build foundational materials and processes to support repeatable commercial deployment (e.g., sales collateral, ROI cases, deployment frameworks)
Contribute to defining our B2B commercialization strategy based on real customer data and hands-on experience
Help shape future go-to-market hiring and scaling based on early traction
Job requirements
5–8 years of experience in B2B sales, partnerships, solutions engineering, or commercialization roles in a technical industry (robotics, hardware, enterprise SaaS, etc.)
Demonstrated ability to close early-stage deals and expand them into scaled deployments
Strong technical fluency, you can understand and explain how a complex system works without overselling
Modern, entrepreneurial sales approach, comfortable with ambiguity, fast iteration, and customer co-creation
Excellent communication, negotiation, and cross-functional collaboration skills
Compensation
At 1X your work and results will be rewarded with a total rewards package consisting of a base salary, stock options and benefits. Base salary range is $120,000 to $185,000 + equity. Your actual salary will be based on your knowledge, skills and experience.
