Job description
Since its founding in 2015, 1X has been at the forefront of developing advanced humanoid robots designed for household use. Our mission is to create an abundant supply of labor via safe, intelligent humanoids.
Responsibilities
Operate CNC machines and perform part loading, monitoring, and process checks
Assist in setup processes and basic fixture alignment
Conduct in-process inspections using hand tools (calipers, micrometers, height gauges)
Record part data, identify quality issues early, and support troubleshooting
Maintain a clean, safe, and efficient work area
Communicate clearly with programmers and the broader manufacturing team
Job requirements
You Should Have
1–3 years of experience as a CNC Operator or relevant hands-on shop exposure
Strong mechanical intuition and confidence working with aluminum and stainless parts
Ability to read engineering drawings and understand basic GD&T
Familiarity with G-code and in-process quality checks
Team-oriented mindset with an eye for safety, organization, and reliability
Bonus Points For
Experience with CAMWorks, Fusion 360, or Siemens NX workflows
Exposure to Heidenhain controls or machines
Familiarity with probing, basic tool changes, and fixture setup
Interest in growing toward CNC programming or process development
